BACK IN TIME
Back in time!
Watch back in time HDtoday. Back in Time revisits the history of Torremolinos as the birthplace of rock and roll in Spain through the testimonies of key figures from music and popular culture. Written and directed by Manuel Bellido and Sigfrid Monleón, the documentary travels back to the 1960s, when Torremolinos evolved from a small fishing village into an unexpected Eldorado for young musicians, artists and creators. Structured as a road movie, the film explores the memories of a rebellious, pacifist and idealistic generation that embraced rock as a way of life and found in the Costa del Sol a space for freedom, creativity and modernity. Filmed across Andalusia and Madrid, Back in Time combines first-hand accounts, footage from seven films of the period, 24 songs and a wide selection of archival material, including previously unseen footage, to tell the story of a cultural revolution that transformed the image of Spanish youth and placed Torremolinos on the international map of modernity.
